Camp Invention is the only nationally recognized summer program focused on creativity, innovation, real-world problem-solving, and the spirit of invention, with curriculum inspired by National Inventors Hall of Fame® Inductees.
Camp Invention - Spark offers rising K-6 campers a week of hands-on STEM challenges designed to foster creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Campers will engage in four unique experiences: Fur-ensics™, Make Waves™, Space Morphers™, and The Infringers™.
In Fur-ensics™, children sharpen their detective skills by investigating an animal mystery with a robotic capybara sidekick, collecting clues, examining evidence, and inventing sleuthing gadgets. Make Waves™ allows campers to explore entrepreneurship and physics by designing, prototyping, and pitching innovative billboard boats. Space Morphers™ takes young explorers on an out-of-this-world mission to build a DIY rocket, launch it, and transform a planet for future habitation, collecting data and observing crystal growth and mysterious animal eggs. Finally, in The Infringers™, campers team up with the Innovation Force® to solve community challenges, learn about intellectual property, and construct wearable cryptography devices to protect their inventions.
Through these activities, children gain skills in creative problem-solving, design thinking, scientific observation, data analysis, and entrepreneurial thinking. The program aims to build persistence, adaptability, and a lifelong love for learning and innovation.
Each day, children rotate through two morning and two afternoon experiences, along with collaborative games. They begin at Base Camp™ with icebreakers, then break into designated groups for immersive, action-packed experiences, and conclude the day back at Base Camp™ for a final teamwork activity before parent pick-up.
This camp is best for curious kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade who enjoy hands-on STEM activities and want to develop their creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
