This immersive program offers high school students a unique opportunity to explore the musculoskeletal system through hands-on engineering challenges on the Georgia Tech campus.
Students participating in the CEISMC Summer PEAKS "Built to Move: Exploring the Musculoskeletal System" program will engage in hands-on, experiential activities to delve into the intricacies of the human musculoskeletal system. The program aims to deepen their understanding of human movement and biology through practical application. Participants will explore cross-cutting engineering design concepts and solve real-world problems. They will utilize testing and data to refine their designs and improve performance, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The program culminates in an engineering showcase where students present their designs, explain their data, and justify their solutions, enhancing their communication and presentation abilities.
Each day runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an option for extended care until 6:00 PM for an additional cost.
This program is ideal for rising 9th-12th grade students interested in deepening their knowledge of human movement, biology, and applying engineering design concepts to solve real-world problems.
